Jesus Calling“You are on the path of my choosing. There is no randomness about your life. Here and now comprise the coordinates of your daily life. Most people let their moments slip through their fingers, half-lived. They avoid the present by worrying about the future or longing for a better time and place. They forget that they are creatures who are subject to the limitations of time and space.

Sarah Young
Jesus Calling (Thomas Nelson, 2004)

Moments with God at Lookout PointI got up early to watch the sunrise, remembering back to a year ago when my sorrow began, regret in my thoughts; and my child’s custodial battle compounding my sadness. I climbed the creek bank and then walked in the driveway, speaking out loud to  the God I love. Songs started running through my head one right after another. I sang their words while looking up at the trees, melodies, and refrains, thinking of the meaning implied in each son’s words.
