Prayer of Binding and Loosing is based on the Keys of the Kingdom.‬

• Bind my will to the Father’s will.
• Bind my mind to the mind of Christ.
• Bind my emotions to the Holy Spirit.
• Loose anything in me that is not of You.

Do you want to see God change a life?

Pray this prayer for yourself or for someone else, or even someone who has gone astray or doesn’t know Christ. Insert their name and pray it consistently and over a long duration. You can extend the prayer by adding what the need is i.e. loose Satan’s grip on Suzie’s life…loose evil influences/worldliness/selfishness/idolatry from Sammy’s life.

An elderly couple prayed this prayer for their grown son for many months. He had lost his way and had little interest in things of God. He was in a marital separation from his wife. A few months later, his marriage got back together. He returned to church. And he became an active leader in a youth club at the church. Was it coincidence? I don’t think his parents think so.

Side note: I had the privilege of leading his son to Christ before his father’s turnaround. His grandparents would bring him. He was doing scripture memory work in my small group of children when he told me he wanted to accept Christ as his Savior. He was a second grader at the time. His conversion calmed him. The difference was noticeable.

God’s Word speaks today.

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19

This is a powerful prayer that is based on scripture. We are told to have the mind of Christ, to follow the Father’s will, to allow God’s Spirit to have His way in our lives. We are told to eschew worldly lusts, resist the wiles of the devil, and flee from evil and the evil one.

When I pray this prayer for myself or for someone else, I am inviting God to help me do what is according to His will and purpose in my life or their life. It can be prayed for the lost person, the rebellious person, the one who has lost their way, and the person in need.

Praying God’s Word releases God’s power to work freely in our own lives and the person-being-prayed-for’s, life.

Faith. Obedience. Trust.
